Susy Banyon, A young american dancer travels to Europe to perfect her ballet dancing skills. As soon as she arrives, everything goes wrong. It starts raining and she can't get a taxi, she finally does but once she gets there, she is not let in the school, ect... The poor girl has to sleep somewhere else for the night.

Lucky for her, because that very same night two girls die in the school. The next day, Susy goes early in the morning and is greeted at the school as if nothing happened the night before. She is let in and joins the team. Soon afterwards, she makes a friend...

The friend is later killed as Susy is drugged. The poor girl tried warning her of the place and about the witches. After the murder, Susy starts investigating. She finds out the shocking and horrible truth in one of the most deranged endings in film history!

PICTURE QUALITY
--
The picture is presented here in all of it's 2:35:1 glory. It's Anamorphic and is THX certified. It is also one of my personal favorites. There aren't many transfers as good as this one. Everything is clean and crisp. The colors are wild and vivid. The cinematography and action will pull you right in. PERFECTION!

AUDIO QUALITY
--
The audio is presented here in DTS-ES 6.1 and Dolby Digital Surround EX. I can't even begin to describe how this film sounds... It's just amazing! Wait till you hear the haunting Goblin music and the big scene at the end where everything goes haywire. One of the greatest DVD audio soundtracks ever.

EXTRAS
--
This baby is packed with extras! On the movie disc some of the extras include, a Daemonia Music Video, Theatrical Trailers, TV Spots, Radio Spots, and A Poster and Stills Gallery. On the second disc there's a 52 minute documentary celebrating Suspiria's 25th Anniversary. Some of the cast members are in it, the writers, cinematographer, the director, and even the Goblin band members who created those haunting scores!

The last disc is a Soundtrack CD. It features the great music provided by the band Goblin. To sum it all up in one word - Wow! Everything is top notch stuff. Anchor Bay has really outdone themselves with this release. The only thing missing would be an audio commentary track, but I didn't say that. ;)

FINAL THOUGHTS - Suspiria is one of my favorite horror films of all time. It has it all, Suspense, Cinematography, and Great Kills. Buy the LIMITED EDITION and get the documentary plus the Soundtrack CD. Or if you want, buy the single disc. Either way you won't regret purchasing Suspiria.
